Chichester has a long and distinguished history in teacher training, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a range of Continuing Professional Development opportunities and a Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning Support
In addition, we also offer research, curriculum development and consultancy services to a range of agencies within specified areas of expertise.
The majority of the programmes are run at our Bognor Regis Campus; the BA (Hons) Physical Education and Teaching course is based at the Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester.
Becoming a Teacher
There are a number of routes to enable you to train to become a teacher at the University. Teaching Assistants in KS1, KS2 or KS3
If you work as a Teaching Assistant in KS1, KS2 or KS3 then we can offer you professional development including a Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning Support.
