Role

Julia is the Head of the Secondary PGCE Programme.

Experience

Before taking up her current post Julia was the Assistant Head Teacher in one of our partner schools.  Her responsibilities included Professional Tutor, Induction Manager for NQTs, Performance Management and Staff Development for established teachers. As well as leading the Secondary PGCE programme, Julia teaches on the Mentorship MA unit for Mentors and Professional Tutors in our partner schools.

Interests

Julia has a particular interest in the initial and continuing development of professional teachers, especially the partnership process between universities and schools.

Julia holds a BA Hons degree in Modern History, a PGCE in Secondary History and a MA in Management in Education. She is a member of the UCET Secondary Committee.
