Experience

Carol taught across the 11-18 age range in Hampshire schools, as a Head of Department and Advanced Skills Teacher.  As an Advanced Skills Teacher she worked with a range of schools to improve attainment and engagement in Mathematics.  She has wide expertise in the use of ICT in the classroom and has run courses for classroom teachers focusing on improving the use of ICT within mathematics and has worked with the SSAT to provide regular in-service development sessions. Carol holds a BSc in Psychology, a PGCE in Mathematics and recently completed her Masters degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Chichester.

Interests

Carol has a particular interest in geometry and, as a Leading Mathematics Teacher produced resources to support the development of teacher’s use of Dynamic Geometry software and contributed to QCA publications. Her dissertation focused on how secondary mathematics teachers use ICT in lessons and this remains her key research interest.
