Cricket Research

Sports and exercise scientists at the University of Chichester have been working with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to assess the bowling action of some of the world’s leading international cricketers.

The ICC impose strict guidelines that a bowler cannot extend his elbow more than 15 degrees while making a delivery in international cricket. If match officials deem that a player may have a suspect bowling action, they are referred to the ICC for assessment.
