Andrew Dixon has a PhD (2000) from Imperial College in Environmental Engineering and has carried out research and published in a number of areas relating to sustainability and the environment. Andrew has been working in research support for 5 years. At Sheffield he led a team in supporting academics in the submission of research applications to a wide range of funding bodies across the various disciplines including arts and humanities, social and natural sciences, and engineering. |

Antony joined the University in November 2009 and as Postgraduate Research Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Director of Research in developing and giving administrative support to the postgraduate research student community and coordinating tasks relating to the Research Training Programme, enhancements to the research environment, RDAP and the REF. He provides direct support to the Research and Ethics Committees, the Research Degree Group and the REF Project Team. Antony completed a first degree in French with Philosophy at the University of Exeter before two years spent in Paris at the British Institute where he studied for an MA in Contemporary French Studies. Whilst in Paris, he was employed as a lecteur in English at the University of Versailles St Quentin-en-Yvelines. On returning to the UK, Antony was awarded a postgraduate studentship at the University of Leeds, where he completed a PhD in the area of Franco-African cultural relations in 2000. Before joining the University of Chichester, Antony spent eight years working in IT at The Body Shop International's Head Office, specialising in retail software testing and Quality Assurance. |
