Senior Lecturer

Steve has considerable experience both as a teacher of physical education and as a coach. He has taught in a range of schools and colleges and has led PE departments in post 16 education. He was also involved in the development of the ‘A’ Level in Physical Education and has served as an AQA examiner in Sport and PE. Steve obtained a BEd (Hons) degree at Loughborough followed by a Masters in Education at Southampton University.

Steve joined the School of Physical Education in January 2002 and lectures mainly in Sport Psychology, Coaching and a range of PE pedagogy modules. He is also responsible for the new Post 16 placement programme undertaken by all final year trainee PE teachers at University of Chichester.
Steve is a Senior Coach Tutor with England Basketball and is heavily involved in Coach Education courses for the association. He has also coached teams in the British Basketball League and taken them into European competitions.
