Open Days FAQ's

A visitor in my group has a disability, how will this affect my visit?
Here at the University of Chichester we are committed to providing equal opportunities for all students and visitors. All subject stands and talks are located in wheelchair accessible rooms, and both campuses have wheelchair friendly campus tour routes. If you have concerns over accessibility, please contact our Open Day team on (01243) 812116 or email visitus@chi.ac.uk.
How do I arrange for disabled parking?
We have plenty of designated disabled parking spaces on both campuses, there is no need to book ahead.
How long does an Open Day take?
You are welcome to visit us at any time between 10am and 3pm, and we run a series of activities and talks throughout the day. Most visitors spend around 3 hours with us although there is no minimum or maximum time limit. Please consult the Open Day programme for details of the talks and activities taking place.
Which campus do I need to go to?
The Open Day programme shows where subject areas are based on each campus. Please make sure you visit the correct campus for your subject area.
I am no longer able to attend the Open Day, how can I arrange another visit?
We have a number of different opportunities for you to visit the University, either prior to or post application. There may be another Open Day which is more convenient for you; if you would like to change your booking, please emails us as visitus@chi.ac.uk.
If you are unable to attend another Open Day, we run regular Campus Tours of both campuses. If you are unable to attend either a scheduled Open Day or Campus Tour, please call us on (01243) 812 116 to arrange a personal visit.
How many people can I bring with me on the Open Day?
There is no limit to the number of guests you bring with you to an Open Day; some visitors will bring family and friends, while others may attend alone. It is okay to bring more guests than originally indicated on your booking form.
Is there visitor parking on campus?
There is limited parking available on both campuses, although there are alternative parking options nearby and both campuses are well served by public transport. Please see campus maps for further information.
Will we get to meet any current students?
Yes, our team of Student Ambassadors will be on hand during the day to ensure you get the most out of your visit. They will be running campus tours throughout the day and can provide an insight into student life at the University of Chichester.
Will I be able to get advice about completing my UCAS application?
Yes, we will have staff available on both campuses from our Admissions office, able to offer advice and guidance on completing your UCAS form, personal statements and interviews.
How long do the subject talks take?
Subject talks usually take between 30 and 45 minutes.
Why does my subject area not offer a talk?
For some subject areas, the number of visitors attending may be quite small. If subject areas do not offer a general presentation, academic staff will be available to speak to students on a 1-to-1 basis throughout the day.
