Louise Jackson

Louise Jackson is Senior Lecturer in Music and Musical Theatre at the University of Chichester. A graduate of the University of Chichester with First Class Honours in Music, and the University of Sussex with an MA in Music, she is currently reading for a Professional EdD in Education at the University of Exeter, exploring Equity and Widening Participation in HE. Her areas of interest in research and teaching include introducing research and writing strategies to undergraduates; gender theory; collaboration in composition; Widening Participation and Employer Engagement activities. Actively involved in school and college liaison, Louise welcomes the opportunity to visit Music departments with her undergraduate students to run Music and Musical Theatre workshops. Louise has articles and reviews published in Music Teacher, The Musician and Songwriters’ Yearbook 2008 and the British Journal of Music Education; and presented papers at conferences including the Palatine supported ‘Putting it Together’ Musical Theatre conference and the 6th LDHEN Symposium (Bournemouth) in 2009.
