| The foundation degree is a two year undergraduate programme of study open to students who hold threshold academic qualification for entry and who possess already developed skills in performance, and is available in full or part-time mode. It offers a vocational training in one-to-one and small group teaching of young instrumentalists and singers, additional skills relevant to self-employment, practical experience in the classroom, and the development of historical, analytical and personal performance work. | The Foundation Degree in Musical Theatre is a practical programme, offering students an opportunity to acquire a range of performance skills on stage, and to develop a broad understanding of the technical and behind-the-scenes skills which make Musical Theatre work. Students are part of a vibrant community of more than 300 music undergraduates, and take modules which develop their contextual and analytical understanding of music as well as receiving individual specialist singing lessons. | MA Choral Studies |

| This is a practical performance-based MA, combining extensive development
of skill as a member of a dedicated choral ensemble, with choir training,
choral arrangement and individual vocal development. The Master’s choir
will undertake at least two concert tours in each academic year, both in

| MA Music Performance |

| This is a practical performance-based MA, in which you will demonstrate
your critical awareness of current practice in your own specialist area through
your playing or singing. This can only be done with a fluent level of technical
and expressive skill, and the range of support included for the development
of performance skills is extensive, including weekly individual tuition in
your instrument or voice, group performance skills development each week,
masterclass attendance at Chichester and at other institutions, ensemble
participation, and a consultation with an external specialist each semester.
This process ensures that the regular support you receive from teachers who
are familiar to you, is complemented by invaluable exposure to other professional
