Why Study the Media?

Whatever career you choose, you will almost certainly become involved with media issues and contexts to a greater or lesser extent. Even if you don’t choose a media career, the University Media Studies degree contains elements and teaches skills that can be applied to almost any employment context. In the area of the Arts and Humanities, Media Studies students are consistently ranked as the graduates most likely to enter employment after gaining their degree.

Media at Chichester has consistently ranked highly in assessment of quality and student satisfaction since 1998 when our Media degree achieved the maximum score - 24 points out of 24 - in the HEFCE(QAA) inspection round and in 2007 was the 2nd ranked Media course nationally for student satisfaction.
