Library Services

The Library provides a comprehensive service for staff and students. It offers assistance to users in finding information and in the effective use of that information.
The following services are available:
LRC Enquiry Desk - is staffed during the semester from Monday to Friday between the hours of 1100hrs and 1500hrs by qualified librarians.
BOGNOR Library Enquiry desk - is staffed during the semester from Monday to Friday between 1100hrs and 1300hrs and 1400hrs and 1500hrs by qualified librarians.

Subject Librarians
There is a team of professional librarians at each site to provide specialist information support, to liaise with teaching staff and students and to develop and organise the library resources in their subject areas.
If you have difficulty finding material for essays, seminars, projects, the Subject Librarians will be happy to provide advice and assistance. Subject Librarians may also be able to provide specialised reading lists and bibliographies. The list of subjects with their respective Subject Librarians is as follows:

Help is available for using all these services from your Subject Librarian, and on the Subject pages in the Library section of PORTIA.
Information skills / study skills training - this service is a major part of information services provision. Activities range from timetable courses to individual or small group tutorial support. Topics can include:
- Using Online Information Services
- Using the Internet
- Research skills
