| History students at the University of Chichester consistently report how much they have enjoyed their degree. In the last five years of the National Student Satisfaction Survey History has been repeatedly rated by its students as being among the top departments in the UK. Last year 100% of students replying in the survey said that they were satisfied with their degree and this was the top score across all of the sector. We are delighted that they have found their time with us rewarding. |

Its aims are to inspire in young people of high promise and diverse backgrounds a genuine and enduring love for learning, to teach them to read, write, and think critically, to instill in them the capacity for both independent and collaborative action, and to educate them to explore and understand the natural, social and cultural worlds in which they live. |
| History Degree |

| A History degree is a great point of entry into the world of work. Many of our students turn their passion for the past into careers as history teachers. Some students choose to develop their interests by working in museums, galleries or other heritage venues. Others apply the skills learned on the degree to the world of media and public service. Courses on ‘History and the National Curriculum’ and ‘History and Heritage’ will help you prepare thoroughly for your next step in life. History at Chichester is therefore a good place to start a new career path. It is also a place where you will feel part of a scholarly community in which ideas, cultures, peoples and places come to life through enquiry, discussion and debate. Our History team consists of experienced scholars who publish research, present papers at academic conferences and play a full part in the international scholarly community. |
