Kathy Vagg

Kathy was appointed a Governor in January 2010. A Geordie by birth and upbringing, Kathy has had links with the Chichester and Bognor area for the last 30 years. Her academic studies included professional qualifications at Newcastle and Portsmouth and a Masters degree in Public Sector Management from Sussex University. 

She now lives in Rustington and is enjoying retirement from a career in public service. Her final position was as the last Chief Probation Officer of West Sussex before the Service merged with East Sussex.

A current interest is ethical standards in public life, which she pursues as an independent member of Arun District Council’s Standards Committee and informs her contribution to the University’s ethics and equality agenda.
