In April 2006 Tim was instrumental in setting up UNITY ARTS TRUST, for which he is Charity Secretary, Director and Trustee. Unity Arts Trust have set up 'Unity Studios', a facility for artists and craftspeople in Chichester, and are working towards the realisation of The Well Studios (tbc), an affordable work-place for artists, designers and their businesses on the Graylingwell re-development. Unity Arts Trust is providing mentoring andcareer development for local artists and designers, including graduates, with a strong emphasis on enabling these creative practitioners to provide education to the community.
Tim has worked in a wide variety of sculpture materials (i.e. welded stainless-steel, concrete, fibreglass, cast bronze etc) but more recently has been working with digital Video and photography. Recent work has explored the combination of sculpture with digital video, while his most current work investigates pinhole photography and its relation to drawing, time and technology.
Tim's work has been exhibited nationally. Recent exhibitions; Drawing on Research at The Otter Gallery (2008) and at Worthing Museum and Art Gallery Interventions responding to the collection of the museum. His work is in public and private collections.
Tim was a founding member of Artel Studio Trust in 1999 (www.artel.org.uk), and has twice been a Company Director of the group.
Between 2000 - 2001 Tim was part of the Artists Professional Development Scheme, run by ETA (Education Through Art) and funded by the Arts Council.
Tim was as a trustee of the Chichester Art Trust (who run the Chichester Open Art Exhibition) between 2001-2006.
Tims recently been part of a cultural entrepreneurship mentoring scheme run by the ICA gallery (funded by ACE), being mentored by the Chairman of Trustees for the ICA and Cockpit Arts, and by the Executive Director for Cockpit Arts, and undertook a course in Accredited Management Training (ILM level 5).
Tim was Project manager for the commissioning of a public sculpture at the University of Chichester. (Funding from Rolls Royce Motor cars, in collaboration with Chichester District Council).
