Dance Vexations

Over the weekend of 29-30 November 2008 the music department at the University of Chichester showcased a major online performance event, inspired by a unique composition for piano by the eccentric avant garde French composer Erik Satie, entitled ‘Vexations’. The performance lasted for 18 hours and the music consists of one short passage repeated exactly 840 times.

In addition to piano students performing the Vexation piece, dance students from the University choreographed the 18 hour event. Read more>>
