Professor Rubidge is a dance/installation artist who specialises in the dialogue between performance and interactive technologies. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She and composer Alistair MacDonald were recently awarded a Creative Scotland award of £25,000 which allowed them to create a work entitled Sensuous Geographies, which the Guardian claimed was 'so inventive and original you surrender easily to its possibilities' (6.2.03.). Sarah is currently collaborating on a major installation project with two Korean artists and Australian dance artist Hellen Sky at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. She also writes extensively about dance related issues. She leads the MA Practising Arts with New Technologies module.
