Edel Quin BA, MSc
Associate Lecturer
Edel completed her BA Hons Degree in Dance (University of Chichester) and a Masters Degree in Dance Science (Laban). Her professional performance experience includes five years touring as a lead and troupe dancer with ‘Riverdance the show’, the 2006 Westend production of ‘The Shaughraun’ and performing for 14 months with Henri Oguike’s sister dance company H20. Edel has been teaching and lecturing at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels since 2005, specialising in applied dance science, dance fitness and health, and experiential anatomy.
Edel’s active involvement in dance research has resulted in regular presentations at national and international conferences such as the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), Tanz Medicine Symposium (TaMeD), Foundation for Community Dance (FCD) and National Dance Teachers Association (NDTA).
