What is a collaborative programme?

A collaborative programme is a programme that leads to a University of Chichester award, where all or part of the learning and teaching activities are conducted by or with another partner organisation.

Why develop collaborative programmes?

What we do

Strategic Objectives

  • Support and advise the University on national and international developments in relation to collaborative provision
  • Reports to central University Committees on our collaborative partnership portfolio
  • Responds to local and/or national employer and workforce needs through flexible and innovative off-site and work-based HE provision
  • Enhances the University’s reputation at an International level through the development of staff and student exchanges – please visit study abroad programmes
  • Provides a central point of reference for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) with regard to collaborative programmes.

Operational Objectives

  • Acts as a central coordinating body for collaborative activities and provides a focal point for related internal/external enquiries
  • Guides and supports academic staff in the operational management and quality assurance of collaborative programmes
  • Ensures the students and staff on collaborative programmes have a comparable experience to students and staff in main site provision
  • Facilitates effective operational links between partner organisations and the University’s core administrative systems, including admissions, registration, marketing, finance and contracts
  • Provides an effective interface between existing/potential partners and the University, offering a range of advice and guidance.
