Information about Jobshop

How we advertise

Vacancies are advertised on our online database as well as on our intranet. If vacancies are particularly relevant to a course at Chichester we can also target particular groups of students.

Students do not need to register with Jobshop. We advertise vacancies for them to reply to independently. We do not put forward students for jobs.

Recruitment companies

We advertise specific vacancies on behalf of recruitment companies. We do not necessarily need to include the name of your client on the advert but we ask that we are made aware of who they are. Please submit vacancies on the Vacancy Form that can be downloaded above.

Student availability for part-time/temporary work

We advertise vacancies throughout the year. The database is available from off-campus so students continue to have access to it in vacations, although adverts reach more students during term-time.

The academic year at Chichester generally runs from early September to early May with holidays at Christmas and Easter. Students based at both Chichester and Bognor campuses are looking for work. Some live locally and are available to work year round, others are looking for term-time work.

We recommend that full time students at Chichester do not work more than about 15 hours a week in term-time.

Internal vacancies

We are always interested to hear about internal part-time and temporary vacancies. Please use the Vacancy Form or contact us by phone.

Work placements
Students on Business, IT and Tourism courses have the opportunity to complete a ten week and / or a year's work placement. For more information see: www.chiuni.ac.uk/business/WorkPlacement.cfm

If you are interested in recruiting graduates for internships and work placements you can become involved with GraduateON. This is a programme set up to provide the platform to launch graduate careers in West Sussex. Please contact Andy Dixon on 01243 812125 or a.dixon@chi.ac.uk for more details.

You can also register at http://graduatetalentpool.dius.gov.uk to recruit graduates for internships.

National graduate recruitment vacancies
Graduate Prospects is able to advertise nationally: www.prospects.ac.uk/links/recruitersdesk.
