Can I gain financial assistance for the course?

Financial assistance may be available to students on the Foundation Degree. This may be in the form of Higher Education Maintenance Grants, Maintenance Loans and Tuition Fee Loans.

How long do I spend at University?

Each year you will spend 5 weeks at University plus 1 week on residential's. This is divided into 3 block periods and, hopefully, will be within quiet periods of your employment.

Is the course for me?

If you are currently active within the adventure Industry, have a genuine interest in progressing both professionally and academically then the answer is yes.

The course is designed to meet the needs of individuals who may, because of their circumstance, find it difficult to access existing and traditional Higher Education courses. It is aimed at people in the workplace who want to maintain their employment whilst developing their underpinning knowledge of adventurous activity performance, coaching and facilitation.

Will the workload interfere with my employment?

The modules have been written with a strong emphasis on ‘theory based practice’ and thus your day’s work should complement the requirements/outcomes of the course. The flexible nature of study along with online tutorial support should also allow deadlines to be met
