Tourism Careers

The transition to Higher Education can often be a daunting prospect. Chichester offers a close-knit academic community, and you will be taught in a small, friendly and supportive environment. On arrival at Chichester you will be allocated an academic advisor who will be your point of contact during the course of your degree. Working with your academic advisor will also be encouraged reflect on your own degree experience, so that you can recognise where and how you have developed specific skills.
Careers support is an inherent feature of the programme as we seek to equip you for the world of work. Possible career destinations include local authorities, the private sector, tourism marketing, countryside management or tourism training. You may even wish to go further and consider postgraduate study. Whatever your long-term goal may be, we will endeavour to make sure you realise your own personal potential.
Developing the relevant subject area knowledge, combined with the skills and experience that employers are looking for, is key to enhancing your employability. We believe that vital to this process is the need for you to reflect upon your own learning as it takes place, and through this develop the ability to apply your skills and understanding with confidence.
The programme produces an extensive range of support materials, and resources for each module are available online, via The Terminal, our Tourism Management portal.
